Fide Arena (フィーデェイ闘技場, Fīde~ei Tōgi-ba) is a location in MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier.

Toponymy and Origin

From the adjective fīdus (“trustworthy, faithful”), alluding to the holy purpose of the coliseum leading to Clavier.

Like many other locations in the game, Fide Arena's name is also connected to chess, as it is named after the International Chess Federation, which is more commonly referred to by its French acronym FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs).

VS. Steel Plate

Steel Plate is not an obtainable ÄRM as it belongs to Kapel. Instead, it is fought as a boss. Its only attack is a jump attack, so as long as you keep your distance you won't take any damage. However, you can only fight it with Alviss, so make sure you have a deck ready with his ÄRMs, especially ones that have long range attack.

VS. Alviss

When Alviss goes berserk, he will not use his ÄRM and will only use basic attacks. As with monster-type bosses, if you keep your distance, you will not be defeated. If you choose "Don't Throw" in the evil ÄRM selection, you will control Wheat, who will fight with the deck that Alviss used in the previous battle. Like Ginta, Wheat has no attribute. If you choose "Throw", Ginta will fight Alviss alone, so make sure you build a special deck for him.
