- "This time it's a treasure ÄRM, it's so impressive... it makes me sigh."
- ―Dorothy
Splash Coat (スプラッシュ・コート, Supurasshu Kōto) is a legendary Holy ÄRM in MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier. Its power enables whomever uses it to deflect the attacks of evil power to a certain extent, acting as a counter to the evil ÄRM, Evil Shield.
History
MÄR Heaven: Oblivion of Clavier
Trapped within the barrier erected by the Ghost ÄRM, Dissonance, Team MÄR watches as Alviss bravely tries to take on the Ghost Chess on his own in front of Fide Arena. His teammates realize that to help him stand a chance, they must toss him the evil ÄRM, Evil Shield, but Ginta struggles to overcome his worry that Alviss won't be able to handle it. Dorothy then takes the ÄRM from Ginta and tosses it to Alviss herself.
With Evil Shield, Alviss is able to make quick work of the Ghost Chess, causing them to retreat, and he proceeds to destroy the barrier of Dissonance. However, Alviss is unable to come to his senses and now poses a threat to his teammates. Suddenly, Wheat arrives on the scene, prepared for the situation at hand. She hands Dorothy the legendary Holy ÄRM, Splash Coat, that she had borrowed from Caldea Palace's treasure vault, and tells her to use it on her so she safely stop Alviss. She battles him all on her own, and manages to knock him down as she collapses simultaneously. With both Evil Shield and Splash Coat deactivating, Alviss regains his senses and Wheat tells MÄR that she's repaid her debt to them.
Trivia
- When Alviss initially confronts the Ghost Chess alone in front of Fide Arena, painful symptoms from his Zombie Tattoo magnified by the Rondo of Time cripple him. At this point, the player (as Ginta) is given the choice between tossing Evil Shield to Alviss or not. If the player (Ginta) chooses to toss Evil Shield to Alviss himself, then Wheat will not arrive later with Splash Coat to enable her to stop Alviss.
